Government contracting was the start of Lobar’s successful history.

Lobar Inc.’s venture into commercial construction in the early 1970’s began on local military bases. Once established, Lobar performed the majority of the projects during this time period contracted by the New Cumberland Army Depot and the Mechanicsburg Navy Base. Military construction has remained one of Lobar’s key markets over the years, as we continue to do work for the United States Army Corps of Engineers and various military installations throughout Pennsylvania and Maryland.

State and Local Government projects are also a specialty of Lobar Inc. We have established strong working relationships with the Pennsylvania Department of General Services (DGS) and Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), as well as a multitude of local townships, boroughs, and cities throughout the state.

We speak the language of contracting officers, and our team members have the security clearances required for military and security sensitive projects. We know how to work within the policies, procedures, and regulations of government contracts in order to deliver high-quality projects on time and on budget.
